The programme includes a number of previously announced projects including the Blackburn to Bolton Rail Corridor which will improve train frequency from Darwen to Manchester. As someone who’s just cycled the length of the country, the East Lancs Cycle Network is also good news. Unfortunately there was not a single mention of Rossendale in the document including most notably a complete absence of any reference to the Rossendale Rail Link.
