It was such a great honour for me to be selected as the official Camera person for compiling Alick Machesos Live in Capetown DVD. Standing next to a superstar on stage for 4 straight hours is Dope :-), because apart from doing your job, you will also be enjoying the amazing performance ;-) ;-) ;-) I was never a huge fan of Alick machesos music, mainly because of the time i grew up, ( i was just exposed to some other genres of music ), however i always respected his work because of its originality and the fact that he has the biggest amount of music followers, i mean people cant just follow a musician who is not good. This opportunity managed to make me realise why he is ranked one of the best bass guitarist on the African continent, some trusted sources even mention that Macheso is believed to be arguably the best sungura artiste ever to emerge from Southern Africa although Leornard Dembo (also a sungura great)was also good. Its always an honour for me as young as i am to work on a project where LEGENDARY artistes are involved, I look at opportunities like these, more like blessings.
