It was the persistence of the community at Nubeena on the Tasman Peninsula that initiated the construction of a walkway. A walkway that will eventually link the commercial hub at Nubeena with the residential community of White Beach. I had the privilege of participating in the opening of stage 1 today, by virtue of a contribution made by the taxpayers of Australia via their Federal Government to the project. At the conclusion of the official opening some of us got our hands dirty and planted some native vegetation along the route.
