It was with rude shock that I received the news of the demise of my beloved dad who raised me, mentored me, taught me good legacy to emulate, who was always there for me, who stood by me when I needed him. Who was hardworking, caring and loving. So you were waiting for me to return from the US before you go Baba. Thank you for such opportunity. I never knew I was going to see you for the last time in this world on Sunday August 10, 2014. You left us this morning to meet with Mama your sweetheart who you have missed for three years. Hmmm, now am an orphan. Im sure you must have given her a hug by now. My dear family and friends, lets not mourn for Baba but lets celebrate his life. Lets not be down but stand tall, lets not cry but smile, lets not feel bad but feel good, most importantly, lets not blame God but give thanks to God. Because Baba has gone to meet his maker and to rest in the bosom of our Lord. Above all, in everything we should give thanks, for this is the will of God concerning us says the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 the scripture I read during my devotion this morning from Our Daily Manna. What a coincidence. English Man,( fondly called by his children and people around him) rest in peace till we meet at Jesus feet.
