It will be very hot through Thursday night. A cold front will be sweeping through the state, but poses a risk for severe weather for the northern half of Minnesota. This clips the Twin Cities metro. The most numerous to widespread severe threat is north of Duluth and the arrowhead of the state. Large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes are all possible along and ahead of the front. The heat advisory also remains in effect for the southern half of Minnesota until 9 pm Thursday. So get ready for severe weather by having a NOAA weather radio, and an app on your phone to receive alerts. Know your plan for getting to shelter. For the heat, try to minimize being outdoors. Take lots of breaks in AC places or the shade. Wear sunscreen. Also, drink plenty of water! Also, please share the site to your friends. They may not know about the change from HPR. Thanks, and have a safe week everyone!
