It would be unusual to be a fan of long coach journeys but last nights coach journey back to Leeds from the march in London calling for self-determination for Kashmir was brilliant: it turned into an impromptu political meeting, with each person on the coach being invited to, in turn, stand up and share their views with everyone else on the coach about the demonstration earlier that day and share their ideas on how the campaign can be taken forward from here. It was also great to have the chance to share views on how politics and the political system is and isnt working for ordinary people with some of the younger demonstrators on the coach back to Leeds. It was great to share the day with friends old and new.
