Italian PM: Interventions in Greece were “not made in the right way” this “worsened the crisis” Speaking at a press conference with his Greek counterpart yesterday, Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta criticised the eurozone’s approach to the Greek crisis, saying, “The timing was wrong…The instruments were wrong. The interventions were not made in the right way and at the right time and this worsened the crisis.” Meanwhile, the EU/IMF/ECB Troika released its latest review of the Greek bailout yesterday which reiterated that the outlook for Greece remains uncertain and that privatisation revenues will fall below target this year, meaning they will need to increase substantially next year. Separately, both the IMF and the eurozone yesterday cleared the way for the release of a combined €5.8bn in bailout funds for Greece.
