Italian-based international marine environmental services provider Globeco has signed a joint venture with Hydro Infra Technologies (HIT) to install Hydro Nano Gas ( HNG) in one of its vessels. HIT says: “The installation will be a showcase for the shipping industry that will demonstrate the effectiveness of HNG to neutralize emissions, increase fuel efficiency, and even clean engines of carbon build up, a costly maintenance issue. After the initial installation and further sea trials, the project will be extended to use the HNG systems in a wide range of Globeco’s 200 ships.” The Swedish company says HNG safely and effectively neutralizes carbon fuel pollution emissions. and is based on the research of 1986 Nobel Prize winner Lee Yuan Tseh . The company says that HIT founder and innovator, Sven Erik, with a 20 year background at Volvo as a lead engineer, met Professor Lee at the Nobel Prize ceremonies which sparked the innovators passion to expand on Professor Lee’s discovery into practical applications to combat air & ocean pollution. According to HIT, its team of engineers researched the properties of hydrogen until, in late 2012, “they finally cracked the code and are now bringing their discoveries to the world as Information Technology via joint venture partners”. The company says that when HNG is injected into fossil fuel combustion, “the toxic cocktail of pollutant emissions is instantly neutralized”. - See more at: worldbunkering/news/industry-news/1200-globeco-trials-emission-neutralising-technology.html#sthash.9sLVxIJ3.dpuf
