Italian motor scooters. Enough to make a grown man cry and hang up - TopicsExpress

Italian motor scooters. Enough to make a grown man cry and hang up his 2 stroke hat for good. Toad ran lovely until 5 miles from Bourton when she started coughing, spluttering and losing power. It felt like a return to the dreaded fuel starvation problem and seeing Id used half a tank of fuel I limped to a petrol station in third. It never cut out but really struggled to pull especially uphill... Finally made it to Bourton and met up with Lee Clift and Shaun Hilsdon. So good to see three Cosas at one event all proudly displaying bellypans! Deciding against calling the RAC I plugged in my sat nav route and took a slow ride home. To start she pulled fine, kept her at a steady 50 until 20 minutes into the journey and the erratic running returned and I was forced to limp home at 40. On the last leg she cleared and ran smoothly at 50.... I dont think its carb related or electrical and when I can be arsed will check my fuel line again. Why do Cosas suffer this starvation problem?
