Its 2:54 am. & something truly amazing just happened a little while ago! Im trying to be the one who is up for Mark at night for as long as my body lets me. I was just sitting here & a song popped into my head & I starting singing it, very quietly. I thought, I havent heard this song, OR sang it, since I was in our “Youth Choir” at “Muldraugh Baptist Church.” SO... I assumed it was a song that Mark, since he was still awake when I this happened, was meant to hear, too, so I went & sang it, softly, to him. As I finished singing it, I instantly realized that the “Chorus” of that song has, within it, words from Mamas favorite chapter in the Bible! Now, of ALL the possible chapters there are to choose from, God put THAT song AND those words in my head for much more than just for me to hear it! The Holy Spirit WAS AT WORK & Mark was so moved by just hearing the song. But, THEN, when I started to tell him what Id just realized, we BOTH had tears of joy & thankfulness running down our faces. It WAS amazing to see & feel God at work! He “dwells within” us & He just gave us such a wonderful reminder of that fact. Im smiling SO big, right now, that my cheeks are aching!! THANK YOU, GOD! All you friends of mine from days long, long ago who sang in that “Youth Choir” will probably remember it, since we LOVED singing it. Its a happy song that makes you tap your toes! Its called, “Surely, Goodness and Mercy.” These words, that are typed below, are taken from Psalms, Chapter 24. So, put on your “Memory Caps” and sing along, IF you know it; if not, just revel in how awesome God is & the wonderfully mysterious ways in which He works. :) I pray that this story helps SOMEONE for whatever reasons that God has in mind for each person who reads this.
