Its 5 30 am and I am wide awake craving NJ food... Of course I cant eat because I am having my procedure.. Dad If you are reading this....can you bring me a bagel when you come today ??? I cant sleep not because I am nervous but because I am grateful.....as I slept last night, my nurses and RTS take care of me like I am their own family member. The nursing assistants go out of their new for me every day... They have since my very first appointment. Every person here is asking me to come back after surgery because they said I will need extra help and because they just want me here...we have bonded.... I truly have love and respect for this place. The doctors and surgeons dont seem real to me.... They are so so smart.. I have been told bluntly by people,who have had the surgery that it is really hard. Painful and takes a long time to recover. I am aware but everyones journey is different and this is mine....I couldnt be in better hands and I am beyond words grateful for all the fundraiser done by my brother Chris Champy and Don Olin Jr and his amazing girlfriend Debbie Driscoll as well as all my amazing friends and family for setting up find raisers to bring me here, to the best place in the country and the only place in the country that can fix me. To all of you who contributed, pray for me and cheer me on. My amazing friends who are my family, who know who they are that treat me like family and continually stop their lives to help me, support me, visit me and made me a part of their family.... You make life worth fighting hard for....like the day I walked down the aisle for my Nursing school pinning, I knew it was finally my time ....thats how this feels. Finally after all these years of being misunderstood, misdiagnosed watching others get fixed, get to be able to breathe, This is MY time and I am so grateful to God that he gave me the strength to endure ....we may not always get what we want when it comes to God but He always if we lean it to Him get the strength we need..to do what we can!
