Its Alive! Must have been the luck received from the rainbow over my house... My MGB engine started today for the first time since August 2001. Able assistant Jacob (who wasnt even born when the car last ran) started it right up this afternoon. It ran pretty well on the same carb settings as 2001, with just static timing and no real fuss. Being an MG, it isnt done done but merely one more step toward roadworthiness. The heater control valve decided to leak all over the distributor and the clutch slave cylinder corroded itself into a solid mass. So, I need a few more parts but I did not need the fire extinguisher which I had nearby, just in case. Couldnt run it long without coolant, but it sounded great to hear it again!
