Its Camerons first day on the bus and I am at his pick up spot 5 minutes early. But as I get there, something doesnt feel right, so I go online to look at his buss route map again. I see I am at the right place according to the map, but the written route lists the stop as a few blocks away. So I ran to the listed spot just in time. 10 minutes later, no bus. I check the online bus info, no updates. I call the bus company to see which is the spot I should be waiting. I wait on hold, imagining them leaving the first spot and taking him all the way back to school. Finally, I talk to someone and explain the situation. They forward me to someone else. I explain again. Yes, I am at the right spot, but the bus driver didnt have the correct route and is 45 minutes late. I see. I call the school to give them my cell number - obviously they must not have it, since no one contacted me. They do have it. I mention my trouble, they direct me to the bus info online since Im new to the school. Apparently, they just updated it, 20 minutes after my 5 year old was supposed to be dropped off at one of two possible locations. It has been 40 minutes, so I just thought I would rant as I continue to wait. Am I crazy to think that someone should have called? Thankfully it is sunny, and thankfully I grabbed my phone on my way out the door! And hopefully Cam will be happy to have an extra-long bus ride...
