Its Christmas Eve ... Yep super excited tonight. The house is busy with festivities & friends dropping in to give holiday greetings. Im getting a different socializing tonight... Puppy party on Christmas Eve , how cool is that. Ive gotten so many wonderful cuddles from auntie Karen that I feel asleep on the couch in her arms. Cedar & Monty are playing ball, running around the island chasing each other. See us dogs know something is happening tonight. All the Christmas cheer! As you all know each year families read their children TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS ... A traditional story. So tonight Ive come up with a version of a doggie Christmas story. twas the night before Santa Claus when all through the house Not an animals was stirring, not even the mouse. Us puppies were snuggled and tucked in our beds, While visions of dog goodies danced in their heads, Their stockings were hung by the dog bowls with care, In hope that Santa Dog would soon be there. Out on the rooftop there arose such a barking, I knew Santa Dog was having trouble parking. I jumped on the couch, stuck my nose to the curtain. He is here! , I barked . Its him , Im sure. What to my dark brown eyes should appear, But Santa dog himself in his dogsled gear. He whinnied and he whimpered, but through the doggie door he went. Then stopped and smelled the air as he picked up my scent. The doggie cookies we left for him at the back door. Us puppies had just baked them not a hour before. He went about his work without a sigh, Filling the stockings with toys puked high. He waved at me with his mighty paw. Although I was hiding, twas my long nose he saw. Out the doggie door he went in oh such a rush, Jumped on this dogsled and yelled to his team MUSH!. The right dog team were raring to go. They hates stand stay, especially in the snow. I could hear him howling as he disappeared tonight, Merry Dogmas to all!!! Ok team , make a sharp right! So, hope you got a chuckle out of my chronicle tonight.
