Its January 20 and were on Sanibel Island in Florida. We left on 1/7/14 and came down on an eastern route because the polar vortex was bearing down on the mountains of Pa. and Virginia. When we got to Delaware we went down Rt. 13 the length of the Delmarva peninsula. This was all Katherines idea because we wanted to stay away from icy roads. We took Rt.13 across the Chesapeake bay bridge-tunnel then stayed on 13 all the way to Rt 95 about 70 miles below Rocky Mount, NC. We made it down to Savannah, Ga and spent 2 days exploring. After that we made it to Sebastian for a week and then to Sanibel. I like that Route down Rt.13 because it winds through lots of NC farmland! Some really nice spreads there. Were doing fine here. its in the 70s during the day. I heard that its 8 degrees at home. Oh well!!
