Clinton High School is planning a kids carnival at the Oct. 31 football game, with several fun activities planned for younger children. Event coordinator and CHS teacher Kim Tompkins said the carnival will be perfect for children to enjoy after they trick-or-treat, with activities planned before and during the football game at CHS. We have a home football game the night of Halloween this year, she said. This carnival will be a fundraiser for Tackle a Cure, and its a safe place for children and families to go on Halloween night. The carnival will be held in the grassy area near the home stands at Arrow Field. The cost to participate is $1 per child to enter, play games and receive candy. There will also be a costume contest for children of all ages, so families are encouraged to come to the carnival in their Halloween costumes. Various student clubs and organizations at CHS will have booths set up with games, face painting, football toss and other activities. Tompkins said clubs and groups at other schools are also welcome to host games and activities, and to emailktompkins@clintonpublicschools if they would like to sign FRIDAY: Trick or Treating set for October 31. The city has had several calls regarding Trick or Treating in Clinton. There are no plans to change the date. Trick or treating will take place on October 31.
