Its Workhorse Wednesday and today we want to focus on one of our most reliable and coolest pieces of hardware the SS-950 snare stand! This stand is double braced so it can take years and years of road use but yet is not overly bulky or cumbersome. Some of our favorite features are the ball-mount adjustability, click spikes on the legs and a removable snare basket! On the subject of the removable snare basket here is where a live or studio drummer like you would really use this great feature... Lets say you usually use a 14 snare drum as your main snare and mid-way thru a tune, during a very short break you would really like to switch to a 13 drum. By having your 13 snare already mounted on a 2nd SS-950 you would just remove and swap the baskets from both snares..only takes seconds and you would also keep the same snare angle.
