Its a big day at Adventure Acres, as our remodeling project begins - TopicsExpress

Its a big day at Adventure Acres, as our remodeling project begins this week. We will add a doorway and close up the balcony to the loft, so Mr. Adventure and I will have a bedroom and can move out of our daughters room and she can move out of the playroom. This will go a long way toward getting settled. Weve been working on moving things from the loft, which has been used for mostly storage. Our nephew stayed over last night and has been out with the girls collecting bugs for our newest menagerie member, Frosty Prickles. :) My husbands sister grew up at the farm here and had an amazing crew of critters over the years. She decided to rehome her hedgehog in our menagerie because she knew how sad it was for our oldest daughter after Rabunzel died, and she was pleased to know that her niece would be able to devote the same love and attention on this new friend. It will be nice for our nephew to visit his old pal from time to time, too! :) There were two more duck eggs this morning, though one of them rolled off its spot and was broken. They look very much like regular white chicken eggs, but we can tell from the broken one that the shell is nice and thick and the yolk is a rich deep yellow-orange because they are healthy pastured ducks that graze and forage for bugs. Our nephew helped pick lots of tomatoes and some sugar snap peas, too. More to report later, but lots to do now! Will keep you posted! :)
