Its a big day for India as Narendra Modi takes charge .By sheer dint of hard work and the call of destiny he is now going to take over the reigns of the worlds most populous and vibrant democracy .He revels in being and outsider in Delhi as also the fact that he was a chaiwallah once (infact a tea vendor proposed his name when he filed his nomination from Vadodra).He is very comfortable with who he has been and who he is now .His coming to power also signals a major shift and change in political discourse .The size of the government is going to reduce ,technocrats are likely to call the shots ,younger faces will be seen ,subsidies will have to be reinvented (the government has no money as of now ),foreign policy parameters will be redefined ,taxation will be rationalized and sychophancy will lose its relevance(it was so pathetic to see a old man like Motilal Vohra limp along and try to keep pace with the power people in the UPA).The days of the petticoat government are over .The days of the nannies looking after PMs are over .Enter on to the stage -the new grown up Emperor .!!
