Its a bizarre thing to know that it is now 2015-- for years, I looked forward to this date as the year I would graduate from Wellesley. It was the year I planned to begin graduate school. The year that was going to be filled with endings and beginnings. But, the Universe had another plan. All of the things that were long-planned for this year were pushed into the future-- hopefully 2016. If you asked me two New Years ago, this would be the tragedy of all tragedies-- my plans delayed. But today, I am thankful that I am alive and still fully capable of accomplishing my goals. Moreover, I am thankful that I have learned to allow life to evolve, to change, to not hold to plans too tightly. Life simply, complexly, happens-- and whatever comes, it is what was to be. Heres to 2015-- a year in which I intend to study in Israel, have my first academic lecture in Jordan, begin (officially) writing my thesis, and growing growing growing.
