Its a day early, but Im gonna be away tomorrow and I didnt want the day to slip by without acknowledging my beautiful creative and wise mother. Be kind to your mother. Her instinct is better than yours. It has been since your took our first breath, first step, first test, first drink, first date, first journey, experienced your first heartache, loss.... My mother loved when I picked her dandelions as a child. She was the first person to bestow the dandelion with beauty - to thank me for the beautiful flower it was; from the break of its bright yellow disk to the fragility of its grey wispy sphere, she sparked my imagination and made me believe I was giving her something special, transformative. So this year, in lieu of FTD, and in the Spirit of throw-back Mothers Day, I welcome my mom to come and pick all the dandelions in my yard..... I love you mama! Happy Mothers Day!
