On the scott FB propaganda page the favorite way to fool his flock is with the LIE that scott turned the state around after Crist left a mess. Sure, if you just look at the numbers, the economy & jobs did improve. But unlike the LIE that the TV ads are telling over & over, the numbers do not tell the whole story. The actual whole story is timing – Crist was Governor as the recession took hold & grew, scott is Governor after the recession ended. Neither Governor controlled the country wide effects of this recession. And the information on the Bureau of Labor Statistics clearly shows what happened. As the recession took hold & grew, unemployment went UP in EVERY state. As the recession subsided, unemployment in EVERY state went DOWN. How clear could it be that this wasnt because of either Crist or scott, it was because of the country wide recession. Yet even with this reality (that anyone can see themselves in a few minutes on the BLS site if they arent too lazy to do so) the scott flock actually believe scott did this by himself. There is also another nasty little fact – economists predicted before the 2010 election that with the recessions effects subsiding, Florida would add 1,000,000 jobs over the next 7 years NO MATTER WHO WAS GOVERNOR. Well guess what? At the current pace, Florida will add approximately 1,000,000 jobs over that 7 year period. Thats another nasty little fact clearly shown on Bureau of Labor Statistics. In other words - scotts massive giveaways of our taxpayer money to businesses to bring jobs to Florida has accomplished basically nothing other than to spend our money. And this is not even taking into account that scott claimed before the 2010 election that he would add 700,000 jobs on top of that 1,000,000 jobs. The flock ignore this or claim he never said it, even though video recordings prove he did.
