Its a gorgeous morning over in southeast Ga. I came on over early for the rodeo. My old friend Payton Caudill has been putting on this rodeo for several years here at his ranch but some one threw a wrench in the works this year. There is an old rule in rodeo that says you cannot put on a rodeo within 25 miles of an already existing rodeo. His ranch is 24.6 miles from Statesboro, Ga. which has a rodeo. Peyton even scheduled his rodeo 2 weeks after the other one but still someone complained to the association that sanctions these 2 rodeos so being the old cowboy that he is, he just moves the rodeo down the road a couple of miles to an empty field in Claxton. LOL Theres more than one way to skin a cat. Sad thing is, he has a fully functional permanent arena with all the amenities such as seating, electricity, etc. here at his ranch but had to go rent all of this for the rodeo. Half of all the proceeds go towards cancer research and some jack wagon wants to get pissy over .4 of a mile. Yep, there are these kind in every walk of life. Anyway, going to hang out here at the ranch today and get some work done. Tonight we have to throw down all the steers and tie all the calves. The old man might even get one throwed. I know of several people either going in the hospital today or already there that need lifted up. Thank You Lord for answered prayer. Happy Trails to All.
