Its a little long but very impactful. We had a guy in our town who literally walked like this up and down our highway every single day. Nobody knew where he went or why. He had makeshift shoes just like this and many people stopped to offer him shoes, food, clothing, and even money. However, the guy would never take anything. One day, I saw a sign where he usually sat in the shade near home depot that said, Please take this jacket, its getting cold and there was a nice jacket hanging on the sign. Someone did a good thing because I saw the man the following week wearing the new jacket. Sadly, he has not been seen this year which makes me fear the worst. I am all for helping someone like this but I am not for those who stand on a corner, perfectly healthy, with a dog and beg for money. Two very different situations.
