Its a lot more common than you think: When too many things all around you seem too far beyond your control, thats when it is common to shut yourself off from your own emotions, so that you dont get overwhelmed and end up feeling powerless. HOWEVER - the result of this is often a retreat into food or eating or other false attempts to sooth what is trying to be recognized within you. The result? -> You end up feeling and being powerless anyway - only you think its about the food, the eating, or your weight. When in fact, it all stems back to cutting yourself off from your own emotional realm of awareness. And it can be a long, sad, difficult road back to wellness. And if this is you, you need to realize a diet is not the path to finding your way back - a diet in fact is just the means of staying lost and feeling powerless. Are you ready for real change?
