Its a routine traffic stop you say? Its just a normal everyday call? Well, Id have to disagree. We the Police are being killed just because we hold that title, we are being publicized as the bad guy on all the major news networks even though we are doing our best to keep it straight. We walk in the shadow of death EVERY TIME we put that gun on our hip. We have to watch our backs at all times, when all we want to do is protect the weak and make it home. Our husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends, moms and dads worry about whether or not we are going to make it home or if they are going to get that dreaded message every time we walk out the door. Sometimes my life means more then yours does, yes and if you think that doesnt take a toll on our mind and body then you are wrong. The constant fear of the unknown is not something you can get used too. So no it is not just a routine traffic stop or a normal every day callevery call is different and every call could be our last. You dont know this life until you live it. You dont understand the pain until youve experienced it. Dont judge us as we dont judge you. Because in the end we are all human and we all can be killed. It just wont be me. -NH
