Its a shame how we judge people just by looking at them from what we see and hear in the media. Unfortunately, there are too many ignorant fools out there who believe everything the media and papers tell them. Its a known tactic, for the purpose of propaganda and pushing a certain agenda, that media outlets will use different terminologies for the same act of crime depending on the perpetrator. For the same criminal act, one would be labelled a terrorist, the other a murder. For one it would be an act of terrorism, for the other it will be an act of hate crime. Sometimes they would mention the criminals colour, race or religion, even when it has nothing to do with the crime. It’s just a scare tactic and a tool to identify people and associate their background with a crime. We need to break down racial, cultural and religious barriers. Hating is not going to get us anywhere. We all bleed the same blood, breathe the same air and walk the same earth. Before the intervention of television, radio, media, and technological advancements, people interacted and communicated with others personally. We learnt about others by being with each other, this is how we made our judgements and became knowledgeable. We didn’t need society to tell us how we should perceive people. You want to know something about someone, then connect with them. Whilst watching this video, I’ve noticed in reality the reactions to Muslims who dress or look a certain way, more specifically the beard and the headscarf. Personally, I’ve noticed the difference from the days when I was clean shaven to growing my beard, especially at airports. Why we need to behave like this and discriminate, I will never know. The reality is that if we feed hate and ignorance, then this world will spiral into danger. It’s up to us what we want to make of our lives, not only for the present, but also for the future. https://youtube/watch?v=lfFEBuL5ILg&feature=share
