Its always such a pleasure to visit my teachers at Flintridge. Nice girl time with my first swim coach, Betsy Sauer, and I was so touched to have had lunch with Sr Katherine Jean - she is such a treasure. She reminded me of the time Dara Torres and I raced in high school and tried to organize a tie. We were friends and we didnt want to race each other. I thought I slipped that one by her, but she was there and she watched our scheme unfold. I found myself apologizing for failing her 35 years ago. She just smiled and said it never bothered her and that she thought it was very sweet. Whew - and what a keen memory..... Wow!
