Its amazing what a difference an evening of live music .. brought right into your house .. can make ... been feeling a little blue off and on this winter ... sure perked me up when Brigitte called at 6:30 AM and said, Is it OK if we come visit today? Were going to play some music for you if thats all right Pulled me right up out of that black hole thats so easy to get into when winter drags on as long as it has this year. What a super cool night - a few loyal friends dropped what they were doing and came out to support our roots musician family members. Even though they were extremely tired from two intense days of performing and traveling, they gave us all they had left as they sat in front of the fireplace in the Silver Maple listening room. Brigitte London ... well always have a very special connection - she became family to us from the first time she brought the house concert concept and her music into our world in September 2009. Cley Reynolds ... he came here with Brigitte this fall, and found his niche in our world. Missed his smile and warmth, and were glad to spend some time tonight listening to his music and visiting with his kind self. Chris MoonDawg Hall ... this was Chris first visit into our world .. I think we scared him a little at first ... too many Dobermans and too many hugs :) ... he was welcomed right into the fold here, and wow .. his music is super ... from his quiet, soulful songs to his gritty Waylon/Hank songs ... could sit and listen to him for a long time ... well be glad to see him next time he lands in our world. The newly remodeled - a year ago next month - music room - thanks to our extremely kind hearted adoptason nephew, Phil, new carpet from Dan Tonini, and a boatload of help from a whole lot of people ... theres something about that room that makes musicians who havent been here before become mesmerized as they walk around checking things out. Everyone wants to play in there these days instead of under the tree .. :) Thanks again to our kids who brought the music to us tonight, and to our friends who came out and supported them. Time for some sleep ... :)
