Its an honor to participate in the first ever, Protest Sea World - TopicsExpress

Its an honor to participate in the first ever, Protest Sea World By Sea - Mission Bay! Below are pictures of protest flotillas; however, theres never been one against SeaWorld before. We will be the first to say NO to cetacean captivity and YES to their freedom by sea! We are considering the dates of Aug 23rd, 30th (Labor Day Weekend), Sept 6th and/or 20th. Please send us a message or comment on our page (https://m.facebook/ProtestSeaWorldBySea) if you plan to join our protest flotilla, and which date would work best for you. Well send you the meeting time and location of where well launch our vessels. For those of you who are not vessel owners, here is a list rental companies to lease a power boat, electric boat (Duffy), sail boat, jet ski, kayak and/or SUP on Mission Bay (near SeaWorld): Mission Bay Sports Center 858-488-1004 missionbaysportcenter/ Sea Forth Boat Rental - Mission Bay 888-834-2628 seaforthboatrental/index.php/mission-bay.html San Diego Electric Boat Company 888-582-6080 duffyofsandiego/ Paradise Point - Mission Bay 858-274-4630 paradisepoint/ *Please be sure to abide by our protest guidelines: 1. Enjoyment on the water! We should look like a pod of cetaceans circling in wait for our family member(s). 2. DO NOT ENTER SEA WORLDS PRIVATE INLET AND/OR BLOCK THEIR INLET! Dont boat and/or paddle near their barrier -- keep a 5 distance at minimum! You will put ALL PROTESTERS at risk of being arrested, vessels seized and/or fined if you break and/or touch their barrier! Dont be cavalier and put us at risk and ruin future opportunities to protest by sea! This means that you CANNOT lose control of your vessel near their property. Make sure that you have enough fuel onboard and/or do not allow your vessel to drift towards their line in the water for any reason! We will keep circling SeaWorlds inlet under 5-knots and not allow our vessels to remain still in the water blocking Mission Bay boating traffic. We will circle carefully as to not impede the way of other boaters/paddlers. And we will keep a close bond with one another so that SeaWorld doesnt send a fake protester to join our pod to create a scene and/or break the rules. 2. Non-confrontational is the key! We DO NOT want to ruin future opportunities to protest SeaWorld by sea. If SeaWorld guards approach our vessels then we boat and/or paddle away and then we circle again. It will be like defensive driving on the water: Keep a wide berth and steer away from SeaWorld guards! But, document their actions on the water. If SeaWorld guards call the police on us with false claims, well have video proof of our peaceful protest, and proof of their aggression, which can be used against them. It would be unlawful for the guards to harass us outside of SeaWorlds inlet, so please be sure to document their behavior and/or approach on Mission Bay (a public waterway). 3. No screaming, no megaphones, no projection screens and/or loud broadcasts. 4. Lets not ruin the day for fellow boaters who are experiencing the stoke of the ocean. (Theyre not sitting in bleacher stands watching captive cetaceans forced to perform for food in cement chlorinated prisons). We want the boating community to join us, so lets have a good time on the water in order to attract their attention in a positive way and gain their support and possible participation in the future. 5. All protesters will carry a flag signifying that they belong with our pod. This will prevent outside saboteurs from joining us.
