Its been 4 years since I got my leaving cert results. Since then, Ive gotten a degree that has yet to yield a full-time job, attended numerous interviews where Ive been told Im either inexperienced or over qualified, and quite honestly, I almost regret wasting 3 years of my life in college. I dont want to spend my life working in an office answering to someone else, I want to entertain people, to make them smile, laugh, cry, and then laugh some more. So to those of you celebrating tonight, I have this to say - Enjoy yourself tonight, and if you didnt do as well as youd hoped, dont let your points dictate what you do with your life. Your value and your life is not measured by an exam or by a job, its measured by how happy you are, what you contribute to society and to the world. So find whatever it is that makes you happy and go for it! Chase your dreams, reach for the stars, and allow yourself to get lost in as many moments of magic as you can. You only get one life: make it a memorable one.
