Its been 4 years since this took place but i feel the need to share. (sorry in advance for the length) -It was a busy November night at the Cheesecake Factory in 2010. I was working as a bartender busy making drinks for the servers as well as tending to the bar guests and feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, not only with my job but with life in general.When i finally had a moment to look up i saw a very elderly man sitting alone on the last bar seat, he had a friendly face and just smiled at me as i worked. At this point in my life i was 23 years old, newly single, confused with life, and torn over my purpose on earth. I asked the man what he would like to order and he then told me he was not here to eat but if i suggest something good he will try it. So i started back to making drinks for the servers and every so often glancing up to smile at him. I know that you are unsure about the decision you just made, but you need to know it was the right choice. The decision he was talking about was my ending the 4 year relationship i had with a good guy. He continued..You were raised by a good man who worked hard to provide for you and your siblings despite your mother being absent at times, you are a natural born leader being the oldest of 5 has taught you how to be strong and you have a good head on your shoulders. At this point i was beginning to feel creeped out and i asked him if he knew my dad...he told me he was not from this area and did not know any of my family. He smiled at me again and started to giggle then said you are like me arent you? you have seen things and have known things before they have happened havent you? You just need to cultivate that and you can help many people. He was right...but i had always passed those things off as coincidence. he said you are doing a good job at reading the signs and making the right choices but please beware of the guy that is pursuing you. you must stop flirting with temptation and follow the light HOW DID HE KNOW THIS? he then said You are going to go on an adventure far from here, you will teach children english, you will meet the person of your future...this is all going to happen and it will happen with less pain if you follow the light I was skeptical because teaching was the furthest thing from my mind and i had never crossed the ocean. ARE YOU A PSYCHIC? i asked in a skeptical voice. he said NO, but you will not believe me if i tell you after promising to believe him he finally said .... I am a prophet , i was sent here today by God to tell you these things. my eyes instantly filled with tears and the hair stood on my arms and i ran to get my manager since i had no idea what to think. My manager came to speak with the man who surprsingly already knew the past , present and future of him. My manager was so blown away by this that he bought the man his lunch. Finally when my nerves calmed down, i let my mind open and i let it all register...i believe him. FAST FORWARD 3 MONTHS I was back at work doing the same old thing making drinks at the busy bar when i looked up and saw him again. This time he was not there to eat, nor did he sit down. He simply said you are not listening you MUST listen! before i could even respond he walked out the door. i knew exactly what he was talking about. I was not following the light, i was playing with fire and i was getting burned BAD. about a week later i got a phone call from my friend asking if i wanted to go to Italy to teach english at a summer camp for kids. I said yes since i had never been to Europe..at this time i didnt even think about the prophet Steven or his words. That trip to Italy in July 2011 made me fall in love with Italy, i met Simone (even if for 3 minutes) and i was inspired to go back one day. After returning from Italy in 2011 i began hearing bells everywhere, church bells. everytime i was outside or at random times during the day...i kept seeing signs but i couldnt understand them.I just knew the bells had to mean something. It wasnt until NOW living in Rome, Italy in 2014,,,teaching children english full time, living with my soulmate and love of my life and waking every morning to church bells at 8 a.m do i see the truth in my experience. I was fortunate enough to have my life and mind changed forever by one old man in his 80s who took his time to deliver a message to me. i am writing this because people you need to open your eyes, open your minds, be kind to others you never know who they are..believe in something and follow the signs. Do not settle for less , strive for knowledge and strive to become better. I get chills everytime i think about it. I cant help but wonder where that man is now..i never saw or heard from him again so i must be doing it right this time :-)
