Its been a little over a month since my last post. A few things - TopicsExpress

Its been a little over a month since my last post. A few things have happened that shifted my focus away from this project. I spent the summer working my regular job in order to pay off my credit card and feel more financially secure in this venture. While the traditional entrepreneur may be willing to completely throw caution to the wind for the sake of his vision, I am not. I turned 50 last month, marking the first time I dreaded a birthday. On the dreaded day, I was working and had to be in bed very early to work the next day. At about 7:30 I walked into my front door with a bag of food from Taco Johns and felt very lonely. Facebook birthday wishes both helped and hurt. Being an entrepreneur with a unique vision is also a lonely path. Evidently I can only take the experience of loneliness one way at a time, because I withdrew from this project, or at least stepped away from this part of it. On the other hand, I also accepted and completed three referrals; a case management, and two acute care assessments. Each of which has been very satisfied with their experience. While I have been reimbursed financially my preferred currency at this point is testimonials of satisfaction. I am currently engaged in a 4th referral; a long distance case management role and have requested a testimonial from the discharge planner of the hospital I was working with. These testimonials will be helpful in the eventual marketing. Marketing was where I left off before my little sabbatical. Attempting to come up with a logo and a mood board. I was spending money on what was essentially my own work. So, after interviewing some other marketing companies in the area and fearing more of the same I just stopped. Nothing that anyone showed me looked like anything I couldnt have done myself on line with Vistaprint. So that will be my next move, Vistaprint works with Design Crowd for much less than what the locals are charging. Its good to be back. Im going ahead with the website. My success with these referrals has convinced me it is a viable business and that the website is necessary. Most of all though, the referrals have convinced me that I will do this. It is very easy to say we are gonna do something. It is so much less easy, it is down right terrifying to actually do it. So, now that I have proven to myself that I am gonna do this I can get started.
