Its been a long long 5 years for us here in the Terrazas/Phillips Family. 5 years ago mom was diagnosis with lung cancer both sides. one tumor the size of a peach the other a grape, she called herself a fruit salad. The oncologist told her if she had come in in a wheelchair and old he would not refer her to the surgeon, but because she walked in on her own power at age 80 still smoking he would go ahead and refer her to surgery. He then told her to stop smoking NOW no patch no gum she had to do it herself and she DID. So we went to see Dr Kong, Fontana Kaiser, we loved him immediately. He then decided to do both lungs at the same time whoa, just gonna roll her over and it was done. came home and with the help of both her grandsons and jet and Sydney who kept Karen on her toes we got thru the care. She made it and we made it Thank the Lord!! For the past 6 months weve been getting a chest xray and for the first 3 years all was good. Then 2 and half years ago the xray was not so good, two tumors showed up and the big one was 9mm. She was getting severe headaches so we went to see her regular dr. She put her on palliative care and we waited for her to die. Mom didnt want anymore CT scans so we never got a conclusive diagnosis. So then guess what mom didnt die, she seemed to get better all the time, the palliative team said Are you sure?? So I said we are going back to the Dr!!!! Got a new CT scan The freaking tumor SHRUNK 4mm!! OMG the dr called and said WTH no chemo no radiation!! ITS A MIRACLE!!! Routine CT scan done almost 2 months ago NO CANCER!! The elation I feel is unbelievable!! Thank you to all family and friends who have been there for us, we love you all.
