Its been a lovely and varied last few weeks for me. Following a wonderful weeks sailing in Turkey with some friends I went to Your Horse Live, where I signed and sold many copies of my new book, I am thrilled people like it :) Many of my sponsors had stands there, so it was great to be able to visit them. The Joules stand was a popular as ever with some fabulous new items. There was lots of Christmas shopping going on around the hundreds of stands, I loved the head warmers at Annabel Brocks. Following that I drove Emily and Patrick Beresfords Charlemagne (Charlie) up to Ben Mahers where she is working until Christmas - it is very exciting for her to be able to take a horse, and she is looking forward to jumping him at some shows soon with Bens horses. I then did a whole batch of teaching days, firstly in Scotland. One day at Ian Starks fantastic new indoor arena, then whizzed up to Gleneagles for a lecture/demo that evening and taught there all the next day. I went home for 1 day then drove up to Heathrow to fly to the States. I did 3 two day clinics in 7 days, 2 days in California, 2 in Virginia, and 2 in Kentucky - I had a great time, everyone was so welcoming, and I was impressed with the quality of horses - but is was nice to come home and stop talking!!! Rosie has been very easy to break in, loving every minute! The 4 yrs olds had a break while I was away but are progressing well, they are now jumping around a 50cms course!!! - I love working with young horses and seeing how they improve each day. I have weaned this years foal, Tilly (King Temptress x Chilli Morning) and returned the lovely recipient mare Jenny to Twemlows Embryo Transfer Centre. We have looked at many horses and found one lovely 6 yr old which an owner bought for Emily to ride, which is very exciting. Tess (Kings Temtpress) is looking forward to starting work a couple of weeks before the others due to her time off while she was injured, I plan to ride her at Badminton next year which is exciting :) Hope to see some of you at the South West Equine Fair 6/7 Dec, and Olympia 20/21 Dec where I will be signing at various sponsors stands.
