Its been a pretty rough past week for us in my house as my oldest son(18) shipped out to Army basic training. Weve been pretty sad and missing him. That most certainly includes Krauser. There have been many things hes done that lets me know hes wondering where my son is, but tonight made me want to cry. I finally, finally, finally got some communication from my boy via a letter. Sitting reading it and Krauser was intensely sniffing the envelope and letter itself!!! I know dogs have a serious sense of smell, and all I assume is that he smells my Caleb on this paper!!! Omg!!! All I have to do is ask him where hes at and he runs to the front windows whining looking out. 😢 wow.
