Its been a rough day...... Shiner spent the day at the emergency vets. At first I thought it was poison and maybe he ate a poisened mouse or something. We dont use such things but maybe neighbors do. Test showed that it wasnt poison causing blood in his vomit and diarrhea. He is really sick and was on fluids and meds all day. So far the test showed pancreatitus (sp) . X rays didnt show any obstructions thank God. They allowed him to come home tonight knowing that he will be well cared for and watched like a hawk. His tail is all wrapped up in vet wrap to keep it clean if he has problems. He isnt going for that at all, he hates it. Im trying to keep positive and hopeful that things will be better tomorrow. Having a sick dog is like having a sick baby.... you feel so helpless.
