Its been a very busy evening here. The white and black male stray cat from Bradford is now in our care and has been neutered, microchipped, wormed and flead and is now settling down in the porch of a temporary foster carer who very kindly offered to help out so this young cat didnt have to spend any more nights on the freezing streets. I dropped him off with her in Leeds a little while ago and he was very content, purring away and filling his face! He has several bite wounds on his chest and underside, the vets think this is from being bullied by other cats. Thanks to his previous owners who didnt bother to neuter him and left him behind outside when they moved house. This is what happens to these cats, I hope they are pleased with themselves. We also taken in the cat in the first photo today; Simba. He was given away free on Gumtree along with his brother Samba. Samba is now dead. Simba has had a lucky escape and is now with another temporary foster carer who offered to help so that Simba could be brought straight in as he was at great risk. This is what so often happens when animals are offered free online. I wont go into the full details as Ill get angry, its very upsetting. Simba is now safe and settling into his fosterers home where he will be very well loved and looked after until we can find him a permanent home. He needs some dental work doing first but otherwise hes in good health and has also been flead and wormed this evening at our vets. He was already neutered. Time for a glass of wine now!!
