Its been a week since our sweet pup, Tess, went to dog heaven, and since Ive made any reference to her absence or your incredibly kind posts last week. (Yesterday around 5:00, I felt very melancholy, which is really not my nature, but this past week, off and on, it sure has been. I had to run some errands that took me past our vet around that time. Id been passing the vet all week long, and mostly wistful feelings came up, but yesterday, I guess because it was on the day and the time we took Tess in, it hit me kind of hard.) The purpose of this post is to THANK YOU ALL for the support, sympathy, friendship, and love that was sent our way last week. (Apparently I use writing on FB as a catharsis at times, and last week was no exception.) Losing Tess was hardly a surprise, wed known it was coming, but the reality hit all of us much harder than we expected. We miss her terribly, still expect her to be here; we still tear up at certain times, certain situations, but were better. And I give all of you credit - it certainly helps to feel love wrapped around you when you are experiencing deep grief. We all know that, but being the recipients of your caring was beyond wonderful and we are very grateful. So thank you, friends, far and wide, old and new, you have a very special place In my heart!
