Its been a week since we arrived home from the DockDogs World Championships (so thrilled that Brianne Durham and Heist brought home a World Championship for Las Vegas DockDogs). As you may know, Bret Geller, Brianne Durham and I are all moving to California. Bret and I have opened our new company, IQ K9 Training. Bri will be helping us in her part time, plus in her full time she will be working at a veterinary specialty hospital in Carlsbad. Just this week we were lucky enough to find a little house in Oceanside to hang our hats. WE ALL MOVE THIS SUNDAY! As for Las Vegas DockDogs, Bri and I are still staying on the board to assist the team, even from afar, we will be there!.....Weve run nominations and elections will begin shortly to help fill the open positions. In addition, we have some of the experienced board members staying on! Folks may have seen me on the front lines of LVDD, but there are some serious worker bees that make this thing go! I appreciate them so much as well as the incredible new upcoming board members and thank them from the bottom of my heart for continuing on to keep the dock alive in Las Vegas! Now, Im not one to write motivating posts, other than an occasional DEEP THOUGHTS BY DOOLEY....but....Im going to throw this out there just because....As I reflect on my time Ive had living here in Las Vegas, the incredible friends and what I consider family Ive gained during my time here with Sit Means Sit and the Veterinary Emergency + Critical Care and Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center I realize that I have been transforming myself. These last couple months of planning and preparing this new adventure all started in the blink of an eye, I looked within myself and what I can do with what I have. I looked at things a bit differently for one moment and I just knew. Im so thankful that Bret, Bri and I are all stepping forward together....together, we have encouraged and helped each other to GO FOR IT...(those two are unstoppable)....everything came together so quickly and easily because we worked together to achieve our new direction and goal....oh and Dooley and Rexy are my cheerleaders (Ive promised them more time with Mommy and wonderful California terrain and weather to stretch their legs). So here is my motivation for those who want to hear it ; ).....Now is the time for you to gather your wits; clear your head and mind; and dig down deep. Resolve to unleash your creative energy, unstoppable attitude and resourcefulness!!! GO FOR IT!!!
