Its been almost 2 years since I left teaching and I opened my email and had an email from one of my former students. Reading it made me realize the impact you can have on a child and makes me cherish the moments I had as a teacher and the moments I currently have as a coach. To all the teachers out there and coaches, when you might realize your dedication and hard work goes unnoticed, just remember that just because the praise isnt being expressed doesnt mean your message isnt being heard or accepted by those who matter the most, the ones you teach or coach. Hey Mr Anderson! I have decided as of recently that I think I would like to attend the College of Charleston for their Honors College and Hospitality program. I hope to pursue a degree in Hospitality Administration with a possible double major in general Business Administration. When they asked for a recommendation from a non core teacher you were the first person who came to my mind, because I truly think youre class/enthusiasm is part of the reason I was inspired to go into this field. I still remember our restaurant project and how gratifying it was to have creative control over something non-academic. I hope to someday be in the position where I can have a career equally enjoyable. I know it is a lot to ask, but I would be extremely grateful if you could write me a letter of recommendation.
