Its been eight years since as a family stopped going to St Georges - TopicsExpress

Its been eight years since as a family stopped going to St Georges Strand on the first of the year.I can stll remember the reason why we stopped. The last time it took us ninenty minutes in traffic in order to join the main road to Truckkers Inn. That one and a half hour. Since we decided not to travel this December we also decided to visit St Georges Strand Beach once more. Arriving in the morning was nice and cool. We met some of our old friends and we had good time. Only Sino swam in the beach and swimming pool. Well she enjoyed the water. We packed our staff just after seven in the evening and decided to continue chatting to our friend rewinding good old stories. We decided to finaly leave at ten fifteen. We joined the already long q of cars towards main road. To my shock it took us four hours to join the main road thats from ten pm till two am this morning. Shockingly there was not a single traffic officer or car controlling the exit to the beach. On numerous occassions we survived being bumped by drunk drivers. What is happening with our law enforcement agency in this case traffick officers. There was only one police officer who I assume is a reservist as he wore only the police iluminated vest and his hands were full. Must somebody die in this situation in order for it to be addressed? Not a good way to start the new year. We have again decided not to set our foot at that beach again. Not again! Nelson Mandela Metro whatch out. I would like someone to tell me if there were no visible police and traffick officers in Humewood and Summerstrand. We are being given shoddy service during the time of high rate of accidents so that we can die on the roads. Very angry and dissapointed.
