Its been quite an adjustment living in hotels and being away from friends and family with complete strangers. However, Im so thankful that Im able to meet so many amazing people who are so thankful for the work that my team is doing. I have had so many people over the past few weeks hug me and even give me a kiss on the cheek and tell me how much they appreciate their free health screenings because they cant afford to go to the doctor. Many of the people we see are senior citizens and they truly are my favorite group of people. I hate that people often push them aside or ignore them. It makes their day just to have someone to talk to and to know that someone cares. Remember - they have been around longer than us and have a lot more wisdom than we do ;)
