Its cold out there but.....what a clear night, all the stars are out, so quiet. Sounds you normally dont hear are exaggerated. The occasional duck muffled quack and shuffle of feathers. The snow squeaking as I walk from building to building watering and feeding animals. I can hear the big dogs nose sucking in smells as she walks next to me. Barn cats purrs are like motors running and their crunch of food sounds like their eating bones instead of kibble. Birds wrestle in the bushes as I walk by fluttering for a place closer inside the brush. Horses breath looks like silver smoke as it blows out their nose and their warm bodies warm my hands as I caress their faces waiting for the water to fill their tank. Tell me how great it is to live in the city. Nah... Nothing can beat the farm life.
