Its crazy how our communities are programmed to believe that Democrats equal for the people ...people being us ...African Americans ......when its this thinking that keeps most of these elected officials in office in the first place and they start to feel like they own these positions because our grand parents told our parents who in turn told us who to vote for so when we go to these polls we dont know a thing about neither candidates issues ...we just know we vote democrat for president and it trickles down from there ....but in reality illinois has always been about corrupt officials and dirty politics ....look at hot Rod , Stroger , even Quinn was named in some shit .....and lets be honest we all complained that he wasnt doing shit in there ....the people can show their power of the vote by making these offices a revolving door if your ass aint doing for the people ....tell me one politician thats campaigned on issues and held true to every one when in office .....HOW??....when everybody wants something different .....so that thing I promise you might conflict with what I just promised them .....you can only go by what theyve accomplished in the office theyve previously held ....and EVERY politician has some good and bad depending on how it affects you .....politics isnt about non voters ....thats a losers cry ...its about ALL THE PEOPLE agreeing on this is what we need , and putting the best person in there to deliver ...politics and religion does nothing but divide , but until the people of the state can agree on whats best for the people of illinois and not whats best for either blacks , whites , latinos and so on then illinois is the same ole same ole .... Quick history lesson ...we praise Lincoln for freeing the slaves right ....but Lincoln was a republican ....but Lincoln didnt want to free the slaves he didnt even view the black man as the white mans equal ...look up the quote .....all Im saying is politics forces you to pick the lesser evil ....seek to know what you dont know then youll learn you really dont know shit
