Its days like today that make you realize why we live. Today we celebrate the life of our fallen friend Steve-O.. 9 years ago tomorrow I got that call early in the morning like 545am from Kevin Hairbear Frye...that call that changes all; at least for the moment. Our friend colleague, Co worker, cousin, uncle, husband, son, and brother had fallen. An extreme accident that cost his life. Doing something that he loved...working on the s10. We get stuck on what a tragic loss it is and what it will always remain; yet thats not what he would have wanted. You see those of you that didnt have the pleasure to know this great man are the ones who missed a great person. He touched your life whether you knew he was or not. He was an inspiration and some who would try anything. He wasnt afraid of failing but yet he hated being second best. He could make you smile and laugh even when you didnt want him to. He always had questions....always. He loved music and loved always challenging me to put more stereo in his truck. He was proud of who he was and let you know it if you thought differently. Always willing to lend a hand when no one else could. He loved our kids as though they were his...heck he used to take Anthony to the mall to pick up chics. You see this guy left an impression like no one else...he always wore a smile. He could light up a room when he walked in. Always in a hurry; This guy...Steve-O was a mortal who walked this earth and reminded us why we live...he lived his life to the fullest and left no stone unturned. Although cut short he lives on in our day to day lives looking over us and walking next to us. The day we celebrated as a group his life...it was storming a bit; i remember it thundered and that was him one last time dragging the s10 into eternity. As the sun rose this morning i looked out and knew he cleared the skys...we love you brother and you will always walk amongst us. Thank you for showing us what life is all about. Live it to the fullest and dont be afraid to try new things.
