Its difficult to express candid emotion and be fearless about sadness. Most walk around hiding it as if its a weakness, as if acting tough will convince others theyre something they arent. Its braver to be honest than pretend. People are desperate to sell how unafraid and above it all they are. Poseurs all instinctively strike the same disaffected front, too stupid to see how unimportant it is. How it doesnt matter. How obvious and pre-programmed. Worried about how people perceive them. How much respect they deserve. How cool they are. How much money they have. How amazing and established and progressive and intelligent. When did people become so adverse to being polite, compassionate, and sincere? Instead of a ticket, maybe that cop could have interpreted my tears as guilt, shame, and payment enough for accidentally running that left red arrow? ...Sigh... Another day of court appointed community service finished...
