My client Is doing a series of abdominal work to create space for her growing baby while keeping her transverse engaged all at the same time. 1⃣ static abs + a march - exhale engage transverse (think hugging your baby from the outside in) & HOLD bringing your breath to your chest and keeping transverse engaged while adding a slow steady march. 2⃣ quick inhales + exhales - using quick bursts of breath | use the diaphragm to fill the belly with a quick breath (creating space for the baby & giving abdominal muscles a nice stretch) followed by a quick exhale engaging the transverse as you pull low belly to spine. 3⃣ extended inhales - ALWAYS end core work with extended inhales followed by a shallow exhale (no transverse engagement) think about giving your abdominals a deep stretch with each inhale. #fitpregnancy #pregnant #maternity #prenatalfitness #postnatalfitness #fitmum #fitmom #strongmom #exercise #fitness #igfit #movement #sweatonceaday #core #belly #bump #bloomingbellies
