Its funny. An older friend of mine was telling me about going Halloweening while she was growing up in the country in the 30s and 40s. I said, Halloweening? You mean Trick or Treating?? She said, No, ....Halloweening. I said, What is THAT? She said, Halloweening is where you dress completely up, with your face and hands and everything covered so that no one can recognize you. You go in a small group to friends houses, and knock on the door. When they open the door, you cant say anything. You dont say ANYTHING at ALL, only use motions. SOME people will talk, but only in a VERY disguised voice. You go in and just sit down on a chair or a couch. You cant take your face mask off until they guess who you are! ; ) I thought that sounded FUN! Im not too sure that would FLY in TODAYs world though! I mean, ...asking someone in complete costume to come into your house when you dont know who they are??! :O Ha! Uh,....NOooooo. Definitely, another WORLD, another TIME. : \ Unfortunately. Guess you could still do this at a Halloween party with friends, though. : )
