Its funny all the rappers (mainstream) have a whole lot to say (10-15) tracks on an album about money, hoes, YOLO, dope game, strippers and other meaningless, materialistic violent craziness. They will talk about how much money they have who and what they spend it on, get on television and/or radio and become the faces and voices of our community, but when its time for them to step out and be voices of leadership, speak on the injustices and the lack of civil rights within their communities all you hear is silence and crickets...with great power comes great responsibility and they are failing tremendously. I guess they are afraid their album sales will flop or they wont be looked at as ignorant thugs (which it seems now a days being dumb and ignorant is cool). The power of the tongue is one of the greatest powers to master...you can use it to move a nation, rebuild a community and change someones life for good or you can tear down the very fabric of society. You be the judge... Our community isnt voting to change the laws and lawmakers in this country b/c instead of learning about their rights, government and the justice system...we are worried about Bugattis, Versace, hoes and thug life due to the power of the tongue we hear everyday on the radio and see on television...MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE...they silence our conscious rappers (ex/Common) by not promoting their albums but spend millions to promote artists like Young Thug...smh there is no hope if they let this fool open his mouth
